The Story Behind the Book

Through the Eyes of Henley began as a private series of adventures I wrote for my children when they were young. As a father traveling for work, I needed a way to stay connected with them while I was away. I never had any intention of publishing these stories or letting other eyes see them, they were just for us.

Years later, my daughter asked me, “Dad, why don’t you publish the Henley books?” I told her I wasn’t a children’s book author; I was just a dad trying to bridge the gap between work life and family. She looked at me and said, “Exactly. That’s why you need to publish them, so the world can experience what we did.”

After years of making excuses, I finally decided to go for it. We launched a Kickstarter, and now the first book in the series is officially here.
